Activity of the Russian Media Partnership to Combat HIV/AIDS (RMP) and prospects of public-private partnership were presented at the annual conference of Muskie Club (Alumni Association of International Educational Programs). The conference took place in Ararat Hayatt Hotel, Moscow, on October 17. Special section “NGO and community work” covered questions of motivation of NGO’s leaders and participants, and other commonly encountered problems. During the Q&A section, participants also discussed the ways of work optimization and possibilities of business models’ using.
Ivan Ivanov, RMP’s partners relations coordinator, emphasized the importance of cooperation of NGOs, private sector and government for solving social problems in Russia. He cited the informational campaign “Stop the myths!” created by RMP, Federal Service on Surveillance for Consumer rights protection and human well-being (Rospotrebnadzor) and Ogilvy, as an example of successful public-private partnership.
