Russian Media Partnership participated in the 1st International Conference “Raising Effectiveness of Social Advertising in Russia”

On October 9, representatives of the Russian Media Partnership to Combat HIV/AIDS (RMP) participated in the 1st International Conference “Raising Effectiveness of Social Advertising in Russia”. The conference was held at the Moscow Cinema House on October 8-9. Ekaterina Kochetygova, RMP coordinator, presented the report titled “Global Media Initiative against AIDS: Russian and international experience”.
E. Kochetygova informed the participants about regional media partnerships against HIV/AIDS, including the African Media Partnership, the Caribbean Media Partnership, the Asian-Pacific Media Initiative, and the Latin American Media Initiative. E.Kochetygova described the activities of the Russian Media Partnership to Combat HIV/AIDS, and told about complex information campaign “StopSPID”, coordinated by RMP, its key results and its influence on the audience.
International Conference “Raising Effectiveness of Social Advertising in Russia” aims to discover a new conceptual approach to social advertising in Russia and raising quality of social advertising as a universal instrument of solving social issues. The Conference was organized on the initiative of the Coalition of NPOs for the Social Advertising Development in Russia, created in 2008 by the leading non-profit organizations. International experts, producers of social advertising from 23 Russian regions and CIS countries, representatives of core federal departments and agencies, entrepreneurs and businessmen, NGOs, mass media participated in the conference.
